What the video shows
Two-step sign-in keeps your Chiral Cloud account safe. As well as your password, you type a 6-digit code from an app on your phone, so nobody can get into your account with your password alone. This video shows you how to set it up.
You set it up from your own account, so you only ever change your own sign-in. Open the Settings menu at the top right of the screen, and choose My account.
Your page has a Two-step sign-in tab. To start with, it says Not set up.
Choose Set up authenticator app. To show it's really you, type your Chiral Cloud password, then choose Continue.
Open an authenticator app on your phone, for example Microsoft Authenticator or Google Authenticator. Add an account, and scan the square code.
If you can't scan it, type this key into the app instead. The Copy key button copies it for you.
Your app now shows a 6-digit code for Chiral Cloud. Type the code that's showing now, and choose Confirm.
Next, you see your ten recovery codes. If you ever lose your phone, each code lets you sign in once, instead of a code from your app. You won't see them again.
Copy them or download them, and keep them somewhere safe, away from your phone.
When they're safe, choose I've saved these. Your app is set up, with ten recovery codes left.
If you ever run low on recovery codes, choose New recovery codes. To show it's you, type your password, and then the 6-digit code your app is showing now.
Choose Get new codes. Your old recovery codes stop working, so save the new ones, and choose I've saved these.
Got a new phone? Choose Replace app. You'll need your password and a code from your old app. Your old app stops working straight away, so finish setting up the new one there and then.
Remove turns the app off, so you're no longer asked for a code from it. You can't remove it if your practice requires an app.
