Release 2.0.72

Contents

This release covers all changes since 2.0.71. It brings a new diary palette, an easier way to book a treatment plan’s appointments, and import from Jotform with new question types in the Form Designer.

    New Features

    New diary palette

The Practice and Clinician day diaries have a new palette beside the diary. It has sections for Tools, your and others’ appointments to move, recalls, diary events, tasks and unscheduled clinicians, each with a count. When you open a diary, only Tools is open; the sections you open or close are kept when you switch tabs.

Tap or click a row to pick it up, then tap the diary to place it. The strip at the top shows what you are placing, with Done to stop. Right-click or press and hold a row for its menu, and use the i button to see an appointment’s details. The palette can be closed to a narrow bar to give the diary more room, and it starts closed on phones and small tablets.

    Booking a treatment plan’s appointments

When you open the Practice diary from a treatment plan, the palette shows “Placing for <patient> – 2 of 5 placed” and lists the plan’s appointments. The next one to book is picked up for you. Tap a time in the diary to book it at its planned length, or drag to choose the length. Press Finish when you are done.

Find a slot on each appointment searches the booking zones of the right type and length. The time you pick is held for you until you press Book or cancel, so no one else can take it meanwhile.

Booking an appointment in another clinician’s column now asks whether to book it with that clinician instead, and changes the treatment plan if you say Yes. Before, it was refused. A booked appointment’s menu has Take off the diary to book it again.

    Moving appointments

The Move and Resize questions for appointments and diary events now show the new times before you confirm. The resize handles now reach the top and bottom edges of an appointment, so they are easier to grab.

Find Available Slot in a Clinician diary

In a Clinician diary (day or week), Find Available Slot now searches only that clinician’s diary and shows their name instead of a clinician list. Go to opens that clinician’s day diary at the time found, outlined in red. The Practice diary’s search is unchanged.

    Diary Schedules

In Housekeeping → Diary Schedules, the booking zones grid is taller and easier to use on a touch screen. Use − and + to zoom, or Fit day to see the whole day at once. Your zoom is remembered.

    Import from Jotform

In Patient Forms › Forms, Import from Jotform… sits beside Copy from another practice. Paste the link to a published Jotform and press Check to see a report of what will be imported, what is approximated and what can’t be, with a preview of the form. Import as draft then creates the form as a draft for you to finish. While Chiral Cloud stays open, you can see the report again from Import report on the draft.

    New in the Form Designer

    • Show or hide questions depending on earlier answers. Questions with a rule are tagged “Shown when …” on the design canvas. Hidden questions are not checked and are left out of the patient’s answers and the PDF.
    • Text fields can be set to email, phone, number or time, so patients get the right keyboard and their answer is checked.
    • New full name and address questions, with a UK postcode check. Only the part that is missing or wrong is marked.
    • Choice questions can have an Other option where patients type their own answer. Tick-box questions can set how many answers to choose, for example “Choose up to 3”.
    • Only show in the designer keeps notes for staff on the canvas; patients never see them.
    • In Form Styling: hide the form name above the form (for forms with their own header), and keep the background picture still when the form scrolls.
    • New star ratings no longer show a clear button unless you turn it on.

    Resolved Issues

    • Treatment plans: adding an appointment to a plan and saving could fail without any message for some orthodontic patients, leaving Save greyed out. It now saves. If a plan can’t be saved, a message now says why and you can try again.
    • Treatment plans: a new plan appointment now starts with the clinician’s usual appointment type, and with 15 minutes when the type has no length, instead of 0.
    • Treatment plans: changing a plan’s status, for example from Proposed to Accepted, or its title or description, didn’t show in the Treatment Plans list until the patient was opened again.
    • Clinician diary: moving, resizing or deleting an appointment could snap back to how it was.
    • Diary: a move or resize that ends where it started no longer asks you to confirm.
    • Diary: putting a moved appointment back with a single click now keeps its length.
    • Diary: a Booking Reservation showed its name twice (“Booking Reservation Booking Reservation”).
    • Diary: Delete all appointment(s) from Move now only deletes from the list you opened it from, and says how many.
    • Diary: Deselect could stop the diary working, and Snap to Zones gave an error when you clicked outside every zone.
    • Diary: an update to one task could remove another task from the palette’s list.
    • Diary Schedules: short zones overlapped each other when zoomed out.
