New Features
Email delivery tracking
You can now see when a patient’s emails are not getting through. On the patient’s Personal tab, Email bouncing or Marked as spam by recipient shows under the email address, with the reason and date. Changing the email address clears the warning.
SMS & Emails has a new Delivery column for emails. Expand an email’s row to see its full delivery history.
A new weekly report, Online → Email Problems, lists emails that bounced, were rejected, were marked as spam or were not sent.
Reminders, recalls and appointment emails that are not sent
Reminders Due and Recalls Due now show a reminder or recall as Failed as soon as it fails to send, including when it is skipped because the patient’s email is bouncing or marked as spam. You no longer need to reload the page. A notice such as “3 reminders not sent” appears while the page is open, and the patient’s Reminders and Recalls tabs update too.
Appointment booking, cancellation and move emails are no longer sent to a patient whose email is bouncing or marked as spam. The person who made the change sees a notice saying the email was not sent and why.
Patient Form link when emailing a document
When you email a document to a patient, you can now include a link to a Patient Form in the same email. If the email cannot be sent, a notice shows the reason.
NHS Management
A new Download button saves the claims on the current tab, for the selected performer, as an Excel spreadsheet. It replaces the Show, Print and Download buttons.
The Submitted, Rejected, Removed and Scheduled tables can now be sorted by any column, as Stacked already could. They show the newest claims first by default, and remember the sort you choose.
The Submitted tab has a new Submitted By column.
Uploading files with the wrong extension
If a file’s name does not match what it really is, for example scan.jpg that is actually a TIFF image, you are now asked whether to rename it before it uploads, instead of the name being changed without telling you. This applies to patient Documents and Images, the appointment editor, the patient portal and file uploads on online patient forms.
Resolved Issues
NHS Management
The Show, Print and Download buttons did nothing. They have been replaced by the new Excel download.
On the Scheduled tab, a claim with no schedule details could show the units and expected values of the claim above it. The same applied to the patient’s NHS claims history.
The month buttons on the Removed and Scheduled tabs were always greyed out. They now work.
Other fixes
- Reminders Due: sending reminders for a group or joint appointment could leave the wrong reminders in the list.
- Reminders Due and Recalls Due: a reminder or recall that failed only showed as Failed after reloading the page.
- NHS Management: the Form column on the Rejected tab is now the correct width.
